ILM qualifications are practically based and are focused on instigating real change in the workplace, consistently asking the question “What action can you take?”, whilst providing support to take that action. Modules are run in a pragmatic and enthusiastic manner, using language that delegates feel comfortable with and within a supportive environment.
Better Performance
ILM programmes are current and cutting edge, drawing together topics, research and materials that are relevant to you and your organisation to ensure that courses are responsive to employer needs. ILM qualifications have also shown to provide employers with a significant return on their investments, with employers stating that 93% of managers perform better at work after an ILM qualification.
Flexible Progress
The ILM recognises prior learning and as such, courses taken with another accredited body can count towards your ILM qualification. This modular approach allows the ILM to offer a great deal of flexibility, allowing for qualifications which can be tailored to suit you. There’s no such thing as a straightforward progression route or career plan; we each have individual experiences, skills and roles, so ILM courses are designed to be as adaptable as possible. Furthermore, qualifications can be “nested” – if you complete an award, it will count towards a certificate at the same level.
The benefits of membership
Everyone who participates in an ILM course gains access to a wealth of resources on the ILM website, designed to assist with your career growth and based on the latest management thinking. The website also features a networking facility, in order to connect and share ideas with like–minded professionals both online and via events. It’s free of charge to anyone undertaking an ILM qualification and also features access to both of the ILM’s e-magazines, Edge (for leaders and managers) and Inspire (aimed at developing great teams).
