Project Skills Solutions: Reflection on 2021

Posted on written by Marvin

The new year is a great time to look back upon the business’s growth and successes over the past year. Equally this evaluation allows us to plan for the coming year and to continue to provide solutions to the challenges our clients face in keeping their staff trained.

With the entire workforce back in the office, this year has brought plenty of change in the services we provide and our colleagues who help deliver them. The construction industry continued to work through the entire pandemic, so our construction courses remained in demand throughout.

With the easing of lockdown in early 2021, we faced an influx of people looking for training returning to their jobs in all sectors and needing to ensure they were safe and ready to carry out their role. Our team tackled this wave well and kept the flow of business steady. This meant that we had plenty of customers to assist and get back to work.

We also saw the need for a robust way to carry out training without socialising in a public space as this was once again not possible under the government’s guidelines. This provided us with an excellent opportunity for us to further develop the courses Virtual Courses and introduce our custom built eLearning platform. Always being a forward-thinking company and with excellent inhouse technical capability, we see Virtual and eLearning as a permanent option and will continue to develop in the coming year. The main awarding bodies acknowledged and responded quickly to this requirement and permitted their courses to be delivered using virtual media. We quickly set to work on adapting the courses, so they were interactive and engaging to compensate for not being face to face in person with the trainer. This was very successful and ensured our trainers could deliver to the same standard as before.

Furthermore, we also introduced a custom-built eLearning platform for our clients taking IOSH Working Safely and IOSH Managing Safely with plans to continue to expand the range of course subjects.

We have delivered many courses across different awarding bodies and are proud to maintain an excellent pass rate, particularly for the challenging NEBOSH qualification, where our pass rate has consistently been above the national average and us being acknowledged as a NEBOSH GOLD Learning Partner.

We continue to create helpful revision and preparation material for our courses and have seen significant take up of our mock tests that you can view across our website for many different qualifications.

Finally, as a business, we now have a commitment to becoming a Net Zero carbon emissions business by 2030. You can read our entire piece on the commitment here: https://projss.co.uk/we-are-committed-to-achieving-net-zero-carbon-emissions-by-2030/

Overall, we are looking forward to 2022 and are hopeful for continued growth with the strengthened workforce created through 2021.
