The course is accredited by CITB who have developed the syllabus to promote safer temporary works on sites around the UK. The CITB’s ultimate goal with the TWS course is to raise standards across the industry and allow a transferable knowledge base between employers.

Temporary Works Supervisor role
The temporary works supervisor will work closely with the temporary works coordinator (TWC). The supervisor is generally responsible for:
- Supervision and checking
- Issuing load/unload permits
- Assisting the temporary works coordinator, often the TWC will discharge some of their responsibilities to the supervisor
