Who is Safety Harness Training for?
A safety harness is required if any risk exists that a worker may fall from an elevated position. As a general rule, the safety harness should be used any time a working height of six feet of more is reached. Safety Harness Training is relevant for managers, supervisors and operatives who may require/use fall arrest equipment.
What will you learn?
The course covers all key topics on how to work safely at height with the use of a harness. This will enable you to effectively comply with duties under Work at Height regulations. The Safety Harness Training course will train you or your workforce to fully understand the current legislation, how to inspect equipment and the safe use and selection of the appropriate safety harness for their work.

- Selection of correct work equipment and restraint systems
- Carrying out inspections of equipment
- Confidently select and don a harness correctly
IPAF Harness Training
The International Powered Access Federation, IPAF, developed their courses to promote the correct, safe and effective use of powered access. IPAF are the UK’s most established access platform training provider and have been in operation since 1983. The law requires employees to be properly training on the equipment they use at work. On successful completion of an IPAF course, you will receive a The PAL card. This offers proof from the leading organisations in powered access equipment, that you have been trained to work at height safely. We also offer IPAF courses, including their Safety Harness course.
