IPAF is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes the safe use of powered access equipment through advice, information, safety initiatives and training programmes.
IPAF themselves do not deliver training courses, training is delivered by training providers and successful delegates are awarded the PAL card (Powered Access License).

Who Should Attend
If your job requires you to use MEWPS (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) the HSE says you should have attended a recognised operator training course and received a certificate, card or ‘license’, listing the categories of MEWP you are trained in.
Once you complete your IPAF training course you’ll receive your PAL card listing the categories of MEWP you are competent to operate.
