Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at reasonably experienced electrical inspectors, who are likely currently performing inspection and now looking for a qualification that embraces all the disciplines for initial verification and periodic inspection, as well as carrying out a full range of functional electrical tests on both single and three-phase electrical installations.
Please note: This course expects candidates to have an understanding of electrical theory.
Assessment
To achieve your qualification, you will complete:
- A multiple-choice examination, and;
- A practical assignment, which consists of a written examination with short-answer questions and practical inspection and testing tasks (a combined assessment involving both Initial verification and Periodic inspection and testing of an electrical installation, that includes elements of a three-phase electrical installation).
Special Considerations
The delegates can have questions read to them. They can also provide answers verbally which can be written down for them however it has to be recorded on a voice recorder for IQA purposes (HR Training are the only people that do this)
